I’m a German teacher because...
...I like to show people how to feel comfortable in a new language – in everyday situations, in their jobs and/or their studies as well as connections with other people

My favorite students are...
...the ones that are motivated to learn the language, as well as the ones practicing for their exams (telc-/Goethe certificate) or their degree (DSH/TestDaF/Telc-C1 Hochschule).
My favorite object is...
...a pen, a laptop, my sewing machine
On the weekends I am...
...enjoying paragliding or deepsea diving :-) I enjoy being creative and think of new ideas
Berit

I’m a German teacher because...
...I want to support people in expressing themselves freely and without fear in a new language, so that they can also develop their individual character in German.

My favorite students are...
...everyone! The most important thing is that we learn from each other and do so with a lot of joy and respect.
My favorite object is...
...my climbing shoes. Without them, I would find it difficult to pursue my hobby - climbing, climbing, climbing.

On the weekends I am...
...in the great outdoors. Climbing rocks, hiking in the forest, definitely somewhere in nature. In summer, for example, I also love going to the lake.
Christel

I’m a course manager at a language school because...
...because I love languages and speaking and enjoy socialising with people from all over the world.

My favorite students are...
...open, friendly and humorous. They have the confidence to speak to me in German from level A1.1.
And of course they like to pay their bills quickly ;-)

My favorite object is...
...I don't have one, but I love colourful and cheerful people and things around me.

On the weekends I am...
...I'm often out and about in the woods and meadows in the neighbourhood and meet up with friends to chat and eat pizza.
Gerda

I’m a German teacher because...
...because I dared to disagree with my German teacher when I was a student. It was different times back then, teachers were infallible. After I was told I should first become a German teacher before correcting mine, I decided to become one...especially one that doesn't preach from the pulpit but takes questions seriously and examines them. Plus, German always fascinated me a great deal, it's the language of poets and thinkers, it's so rich, it has logic and peculiarities. I caught the spark and am still super enthusiastic about what I am doing

My favorite students are...
...inqusitive, persistent, motivated and in a good mood...they are absolutely allowed to disagree with me.

My favorite object is...
...I don't think I have that, at least not a favorite one...maybe a book, my dancing shoes or my yoga mat

On the weekends I am...
...a mom, a cook, a teacher, a friend, an entertainer, a psycholigist...so very versatile and busy.
Jasmin

I’m a German teacher because...
...I really enjoy it. I've always loved languages and I think it's great to work with people and get to know different cultures.
My favorite students are...
...the students who are motivated to learn and bring a good mood to class.

My favorite object is...
...a nice book that I can lose myself in.

On the weekends I am.....
...at a lake when it's sunny and preferably always out and about with friends. Or I'm painting.
Konni

I’m a German teacher because...
...I actually got here on accident, but I am super happy about it! I always wanted to "work with people" and with languages, but I was also interested in psychology. Being a teacher for German as a foreign language I can perfectly combine these interests and I get to meet great people and their culture. I wouldn't want it any other way!
My favorite students are...
...all of them! I'm trying not to have any. But of course I am happy with motivated and friendly students that are open and respectful towars their fellow students.

My favorite object is...
...right now it's my Ipad, because it makes it possible to teach online and be able to still work during these hard times
On the weekends I am...
...I like to travel to Franconian Switzerland or love to play board games.
Marcus

I’m a German teacher because...
...the profession best balances my inclinations and abilities
balance: the love of language with all its pragmatic and creative
pragmatic and creative possibilities, interaction, communication; imparting knowledge and skills, arousing interest in what inspires me myself.
My favorite students are...
...people with qualities that I generally appreciate: Open-mindedness, enthusiasm, honesty, also resilience. And of course humour - the weirder the better.

My favorite object is...
...of course my indestructible leather bag, the guild emblem of the
German teacher! Seriously - the faithful everyday companion made of
goatskin, a gift from my father, has almost grown on my hand
and one of my few indispensable utensils.

On the weekends I am.....
...I eat Indian food on Saturdays and am often out and about in the afternoons. Sunday is sacred: a walk, a relaxing bath, watching TV while lying down - and eating all day!
Marta

I’m a German teacher because......
...der, die and das have more drama than any soap opera - real fun for everyone!

My favorite students are...
...the ones who not only bravely survive the confusing German grammar, but also enjoy watching funny videos in German in class.

My favorite object is...
...my laptop. My whole life is in there: my work, my studies, my appointments and - of course - the endless collection of German grammar worksheets that somehow keep multiplying by themselves.
On the weekends I am......
...naturally busy looking for the most difficult tasks for my students... Fun! I just sleep and forget to send the homework (so no homework for the end of the week😉🤫)
Martina

I’m a German teacher because......
...I love languages and the many ways you can express something.
...it's great when my students get better and better, understand more and more and can say more and more!
...I like helping other people and don't just want to sit alone at the computer.
...I am curious and can get to know new people and discover other countries and cultures while working.
...I can learn so much from my students!

...either on my couch or on a nice hike or out cycling or visiting my family.

...because I love languages and find it fascinating to learn and teach languages. Last but not least I am a German teacher because that's what I went to College for

My favorite students are...
...all of which that are interested in joining the adventure of learning a new language. And all of the ones that get inspired and take their time to get interested

My favorite object is...
...always the book I am reading at that moment with joy and interest. Actually, "object" is not the right expression here as books are friends

On the weekends I am......
...in lockdown! where else would I be? and after lockdown..."schau mer mal" as any franconian would say
Olha

I'm a German teacher because...
...my profession is my passion. Language skills are a key to life in a new country. I really enjoy teaching others how to use this key and accompanying them on the way to their goals
